Use Your Strengths

One day, an angel was roaming in the forest. It was a very beautiful day. The angel saw trees touching the sky, and leaves were swinging with cool breeze. Flowers were smiling, painted with beautiful colors, and the birds were singing. Angel was very pleased to see the beauty that God had created; it was a magical feeling.

After walking a little further, the angel saw a rose plant. The rose plant was crying. The angel felt very sad.

The angel asked the rose plant, "Why are you crying, my child?"

The rose plant replied, "God doesn't love me as much as he loves other plants."

And the angel said, "What makes you think that, my beautiful?"

Rose plant then said, "God gave me a thorn."

The angel said, "Awwww, God didn't give you a thorn, you were born with the thorn. God blessed you with a beautiful flower with beautiful carved petals. God blessed you with a sweet fragrance. You are remembered as a symbol of love. God blessed your beauty to live with the thorn."

Live your life with your strength, not with your weakness.

The Rabbit's Thesis

The Rabbit's Thesis

One sunny day a rabbit came out of her hole in the ground to enjoy the fine weather. The day was so nice that she became careless and a fox snuck up behind her and caught her.

"I am going to eat you for lunch!" said the fox.

"Wait!" replied the rabbit, "You should at least wait a few days."

"Oh yeah? Why should I wait?"

"Well, I am just finishing my thesis on 'The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves.'"

"Are you crazy? I should eat you right now! Everybody knows that a fox will always win over a rabbit."

"Not really, not according to my research. If you like, you can come into my hole and read it for yourself. If you are not convinced, you can go ahead and have me for lunch."

"You really are crazy!" But since the fox was curious and had nothing to lose, it went with the rabbit. The fox never came out.

A few days later the rabbit was again taking a break from writing and sure enough, a wolf came out of the bushes and was ready to set upon her.

"Wait!" yelled the rabbit, "You can't eat me right now."

"And why might that be, my furry appetizer?"

"I am almost finished writing my thesis on 'The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves.'"

The wolf laughed so hard that it almost lost its grip on the rabbit.
"Maybe I shouldn't eat you; you really are sick ... in the head. You might have something contagious."

"Come and read it for yourself; you can eat me afterward if you disagree with my conclusions. "

So the wolf went down into the rabbit's hole and never came out.

The rabbit finished her thesis and was out celebrating in the local lettuce patch. Another rabbit came along and asked, "What's up? You seem very happy."

"Yup, I just finished my thesis."

"Congratulations. What's it about?"

"'The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves.'"

"Are you sure? That doesn't sound right."

"Oh yes. Come and read it for yourself." So together they went down into the rabbit's hole.

As they entered, the friend saw the typical graduate abode, albeit a rather messy one after writing a thesis. The computer with the controversial work was in one corner. And to the right there was a pile of fox bones, on the left a pile of wolf bones. And in the middle was a large, well-fed lion.

The Moral of the Story:
The title of your thesis doesn't matter. The subject doesn't matter. The research doesn't matter. All that matters is... who your advisor is.;-)

Keep Hope Trust And Confidence

HOPE , TRUST, CONFIDENCE

CONFIDENCE:
1 Day all villagers decided to pray for rain.
On the day of prayer all people gathered & only one boy comes with
umbrella.

THATS CONFIDENCE.

TRUST:
Trust should be like feeling of a 1 year old baby,
when you throw him in the air, he laughs....
Because he know you will catch him...

HOPE:
Every night we go to bed,
we have no assurance to get up alive in the next morning
But still we have many plans for coming day...

The Diamond & The Dewdrop

A beautiful diamond that a princess dropped one day lay lost in a meadow. Just above it shone a drop of dew, hanging from a shoot of grass.
The sun made them both shine, and the modest dewdrop admired the noble stone. A large beetle who was passing by recognized in the diamond someone of high origin.
"Sir, I give you homage," the beetle said.
"Thank you," the diamond responded haughtily.
Turning its head, the beetle saw the drop of dew. "One of your relatives I presume?" the beetle said, nodding toward the diamond.
The diamond burst out laughing. "How can you place me on the same level as this vulgar being? Its beauty is only imitation. It shines but it doesn't last."
The beetle was flabbergasted, and the drop of dew felt completely humiliated. Then a bird flew down and pecked at the diamond.
"Ah no," the bird said, disappointed, "I thought you were a drop of water, but you are only a diamond. My beak is dry, I feel like I'm going to die of thirst."
"Oh well, what's one bird more or less," the diamond laughed again.
But at the same time the dewdrop resolved to help the bird. "Can I be of use to you?" it said.
The bird raised its head. "Oh precious friend, you have saved my life!"
"Come then," said the dewdrop. And the bird drank it up and flew away, revived.
"Here is a lesson I won't soon forget," thought the beetle, continuing on its way. "Simple merit is worth more than rank or wealth that has no modesty or devotion. There can be no real beauty in that."

"Merit is worth more than anything."

How True Are These Words Of Wisdom

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters
of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
and though they are with you,
and yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday."

Kahlil Gibran, 1883-1931

Be Special to Others

Be Special to Others

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead.
Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could.
Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.
He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?"
The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
This story teaches two lessons
1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.
2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill him or her. Be careful of what you say.
Speak life to those who cross your path.
The power of words.... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

The Scorpions Stings

The scorpion and the old man
One morning, after he had finished his meditation, the old man opened his eyes and saw a scorpion floating helplessly in the water.
As the scorpion was washed closer to the tree, the old man quickly stretched himself out on one of the long roots that branched out into the river and reached out to rescue the drowning creature.
As soon as he touched it, the scorpion stung him.
Instinctively the man withdrew his hand. A minute later, after he had regained his balance, he stretched himself out again on the roots to save the scorpion.
This time the scorpion stung him so badly with its poisonous tail that his hand became swollen and bloody and his face contorted with pain.
At that moment, a passerby saw the old man stretched out on the roots struggling with the scorpion and shouted: "Hey, stupid old man, what's wrong with you? Only a fool would risk his life for the sake of an ugly, evil creature. Don't you know you could kill yourself trying to save that ungrateful scorpion?
"The old man turned his head. Looking into the stranger's eyes he said calmly, "My friend, just because it is the scorpion's nature to sting, that does not change my nature to save."

A Happy Life

Mind your own business; don't interfere in other people's personal matters unless they request you... it keeps you free from extra tension.

Don't be too curious; never try to investigate or inquire about a person's schedule, as these inquiries usually make you and the ones questioned uncomfortable.

Help yourself; always do your work yourself, try not to use help unless you actually need it. It keeps you busy and secondly it saves you the hassle of another's carelessness.

Help other people; you get a lot of pleasure by helping the needy. Always be ready to lend a helpful hand. Thanks and warm wishes will make your journey, life, happy and safe.

Recognize small achievements; don't aim too high as small goals are equally important. Always remember little droplets makeup the ocean. Your small achievements and virtues will also prove your worth.

Give thanks and say sorry; never hesitate to say thank you and sorry. It shows your kind and caring nature. It also compels other to respect you and advise you.

Logical Solution

Logical Solution
This is worth reading...never underestimate your customer's complaint, no matter how silly it might sound to be.

This is a real story that happened between the customer of General Motors and its Customer-Care Executive.

A complaint was received by the Pontiac Division of General Motors.

This is the second time I have written to you, and I don't blame you for not answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after dinner each night. But the kind of ice cream varies so, every night, after we've eaten, the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive down to the store to get it.

It's also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since then my trips to the store have created a problem. You see, every time I buy a vanilla ice cream, when I start back from the store my car won't start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine. I want you to know I'm serious about this question, no matter how silly it sounds What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get any other kind.

The Pontiac President was understandably skeptical about the letter, but sent an Engineer to check it out anyway. The latter was surprised and greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine neighborhood. He had arranged to meet the man just after dinnertime, so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came back to the car, it wouldn't start.

The Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The car started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to start. Now the Engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this man's car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem.

And toward this end he began to take notes he jotted down all sorts of data time of day, type of gas uses, time to drive back and forth etc. In a short time, he had a clue the man took less time to buy vanilla than any other flavor. Why The answer was in the layout of the store.

Vanilla being the most popular flavor, was in a separate case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other flavors were kept in the back of the store at a different counter where it took considerably longer to check out the flavor.

Now, the question for the Engineer was why the car wouldn't start when it took less time.

Once time became problem - not the vanilla ice cream Eureka!!!! The engineer quickly came up with the answer vapour lock.

It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapour lock to dissipate.

So then, Even crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution with a cool thinking.

Perspective

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?

Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have!

How to Boil A BullFrog

Years ago some scientists did a simple experiment on a bullfrog.
They threw a bullfrog into a container of boiling water, and the bullfrog instantly popped out of the boiling water.
Next they put the bullfrog into a container of cold water.
The bullfrog liked it and stayed in the container. The scientists then turned on the heat at the bottom of the container.
As the water got warmer, the bullfrog relaxed and took a nap.
The bullfrog was so comfortable that it stayed in the container and was “cooked”.

SUCCESS PRINCIPLES

Most of us are in the “comfort zone”.
We have a house to go home to, a nice bed to sleep in, food in the fridge, a group of friends to mingle with, along with some basic necessities of life.
We have worked hard to get to where we are now.
So why should we change this? The truth is most of us are like the bullfrog, because we feel warm and comfortable, we refuse to get out of our comfort zone, and prefer to stay where we are. In life we are either creating or disintegrating.
There is no such thing as “staying where we are”, because there is always movement.
So if we are not moving ahead in life, we must by nature, be moving in the opposite direction.

INSPIRING ONE

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:-
There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity.

Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!
2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.
4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.
5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.
6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies.
He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.
7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.
8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

His advice to young people: "Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember: A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good.
D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather.
F. After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life."

Acres Of Diamonds

Ali was a farmer from South Africa, who was happy and contented.
One day a friend came to visit him and told him about the value of diamonds and the money that goes along with having them.
The friend said, “If you have a diamond the size of a coin, you could have your own city. If you had a diamond the size of a tennis ball, you could own the whole country.”
After the friend left, the farmer could not sleep that night. He became unhappy and discontented with what he had, and the whole night he thought to himself how rich and powerful he would become if he could possess some diamonds.
The next morning, he sold off his farm, left his family with his neighbor, and set off to search for diamonds. He traveled all over Africa, but could not find any.
He looked all over Europe and couldn’t find any. Finally,he became emotionally, physically and financially broke and decided to take his own life by throwing himself into the river.
Back home, the person who had bought his farm was watering the camels at a stream that ran through the farm. He suddenly saw a curious flash of light from the white sands of the shallow stream. Reaching into the water, he pulled out a rough stone that sparkled like the colors of the rainbow. Finding the stone interesting, he took it back to his house and placed it as a decoration piece in his living room.
One day that friend came to visit again, and saw the sparkling stone. He exclaimed, “Here is a diamond! Is Ali back?” The man replied, “No, no, Ali has not returned, and that is not a diamond. It is only a stone I found right here in the garden.”
When the friend heard this, he declared,“I know a diamond when I see one.”Together they rushed out to the garden stream and began searching. To their amazement, there came up other more beautiful and valuable stones than the first. Thus, was discovered the largest diamond mine in the world.
SUCCESS PRINCIPLES:We are forever looking for opportunities else where rather than within us.
“Acres of Diamonds” taught us that the riches and opportunities that we are searching are within us. As the saying goes, “The grass on the other side always appears to be greener.”

Diamonds in its rough form do not look like diamonds. The raw diamonds need to be skillfully worked on and polished before they are of value.
Likewise most of us are like the raw diamonds, and need to be worked on and polished before we realize our full potential.

Self Appraisal

Self Appraisal...

A small boy went into a small cafe, reached for a chair and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the chair so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in the numbers. The cafe owner observed and listened to the conversation.

The boy asked, "Maam, Can you give me the work of cutting your lawn?" The woman answered, "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

" I will cut your lawn for lesser than the price of the person who cuts your lawn now." replied the boy. The woman replied that she was very happy with the work of the person who was presently cutting her lawn .

The little boy was even more perseverant and said, "I'll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach, Florida." Again the woman answered in the negative.

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver.

The cafe owner, who was listening to this conversation, walked over to the boy and said, "Son I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."

The little boy replied, "No thanks, I was just checking my performance on the job I already have. I am the one who is working for the lady I was talking to!"

Lessons Of Life

1 - Most Important Lesson

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark- haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely," said the professor. " In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello". I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2 - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read:
"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others." Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.

3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4 - Fourth Important Lesson - The Obstacle in Our Path

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in the bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?" Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. You see, after all, understanding and attitude are everything.

THANKYOU- LEARN TO BE THANKFUL

For the husband who complains when his food is not made on time,
Be thankful that he is with you at the table to eat and not with someone else.

For the teenager who is complaining about washing the dishes and cleaning the house, Be thankful he is at home & not on the streets.

For the different taxes that you have to pay,
Be thankful as it means you are employed and get a salary.

For the mess your friends made and to clean-up after a birthday party,
Be thankful because it means that you've been surrounded by friends who came to wish you.

For the clothes that fits a little too tight,
Be thankful because it means you have enough to eat to make you plump.

For the house that needs washing & dusting, windows that need cleaning, walls that need painting, Be thankful because it means you have a home.

For the parking place you can find only at the far end of the parking lot,
Be thankful because it means you are capable of walking and that you are
blessed with your own transport.

For the pile of laundry and ironing you have to do,
Be thankful because it means you have so many clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day,
Be thankful because it means you have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm clock that goes off in the early morning hours that irritates you,
Be thankful because it means that you are still alive and ready to get up in good health.

And finally ... for too much emails you receive and your inbox is always full,
Be thankful because it means there's someone who remembers and care for you.

BEAUTIFUL WOMAN

-Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips."
It was read at her funeral years later.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness..
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once aday.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one forhelping yourself, and the other for helping others.
If you share this with another women, something good will happen,You will boost another woman's self esteem, and she will know that you care about her.Continue to be beautiful inside and out - -

LIFE IS AN ECHO

A man and his son were climbing the mountains.
Suddenly, the son falls and feeling a sharp pain in his leg, he
screams, "Ahhhhhh!"

At once, he hears a voice coming from the mountain, "Ahhhhh!"
Filled with surprise, he shouts, "Who are you?" but the voice
answers with, "Who are you?"

This makes him angry, so he screams, "You are a fool!" and
the voice answers, "You are a fool!"

He looks at his father, asking, "Father, what is going on?"

"My child," the father replies, "pays attention!" Then he screams,
"I like you!" The voice answers, "I like you!"

The father shouts, "You are wonderful and great!" and the voice
answers, "You are wonderful and great!"

The boy is stunned, but still can't understand what
is happening.

The father makes him understand, "People call this an 'echo' but in the true sense
it is 'life!'

Life always gives you back what you give to others.
Life is a mirror of your actions. If you want more love and happiness, give
more love and happiness. If you want more kindness and help, give more kindness and help.

If you want understanding and respect, give understanding and respect.
If you want people to be patient and respectful to you, give
patience and respect.

This rule of nature applies to every part of our lives."

Life always gives you back what you give out. Your life is not just
a coincidence, but a mirror of your own doings.

Secret Of Flying High

Secret of Flying High.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them. Can we convert our Breakdowns into Breakthroughs.

"Your attitude will determine your altitude in life."

COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Dont measure yourself by what you have accomplished but by what you should have accomplished with your abilities.

"An efficient businessman who found a machine that would do half his work ,he bought two.

Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in thedark.
You know what you are doing but nobody else does.

I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure:
Try to please everybody.

Great minds must be ready..not only to take opportunities, but to make them.

A winner is someone who sets his goals, commits himself to those goals , and then pursues his goals with all the ability given to him.

People forget how fast you did a job....but they remember how well you did it.

Many of life's failures are men who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up.

so...............Never Never Never ..QUIT.

The Power of Attitude

A Story from...The Power of Attitude By Mac Anderson
Not long ago I was in Nashville, Tennessee and I went into a convenience store to get a newspaper and a pack a gum. The young women at the check-out counter said, "That 'll be five dollars please," and as I reached into my wallet, the thought occurred to me that a newspaper and gum didn't quite make it to five dollars. When I looked up to get a "re-quote", she had a big smile on her face and said, "Gotcha!I got to get my tip in there somehow!" I laughed when I knew I'd been had. She then glanced down at the paper I was buying and said, "I'm sick and tired of all this negative stuff on the front pages. I want to read some good news for a change." She then said, "In fact, I think someone should just publish a Good News newspaper - a paper with wonderful, inspiring stories about people overcoming adversity and doing good things for others. I'd buy one everyday!" She then thanked me for coming in and said, "Maybe we'll get lucky tomorrow; maybe we'll get some good news," and she laughed. She made my day. The following day, after my business appointments, I dropped by the same store again to pick up a bottled water, but a different young lady was behind the counter. As I checked out I said, "Good afternoon," and handed her my money for the water. She said nothing - not a word, not a smile...nothing. She just handed me my change and in a negative tone ordered...." Next!" It hit me right between the eyes: Two people, same age; one made me feel great, and the other, well, made me feel that I had inconvenienced her by showing up. By the choices we make, by the attitudes we exhibit, we are influencing lives every day .in positive or negative ways...our family, our peers, our friends, and even strangers we've never met before and will never meet again. So when you brush your teeth every morning, look in the mirror and ask yourself..." Are there things I'd like to change?" How will you choose to live your life...as "the grouch" or as "the good news girl?" Your answer will go a long way toward determining the joy and happiness that you will experience in your life.

Be Observant

Be Observant

Chuan and Jing joined a wholesale company together just after graduation.
Both worked very hard.
After several years, the boss promoted Jing to sales executive but Chuan remained a sales rep.
One day Chuan could not take it anymore, tender resignation to the boss and complained the boss did not value hard working staff, but only promoted those who flattered him.
The boss knew that Chuan worked very hard for the years, but in order to help Chuan realise the difference between him and Jing, the boss asked Chuan to do the following.
Go and find out anyone selling water melon in the market?
Chuan returned and said yes. The boss asked how much per kg?
Chuan went back to the market to ask and returned to inform the boss the price is $12 per kg.
Boss told Chuan, I will ask Jing the same question?
Jing went, returned and said, boss, Only one person selling water melon.
Price is $12 per kg, $100 for 10 kg, he has inventory of 340 melons.
On the table 58 melons, every melon weighs about 15 kg, bought from the South two days ago, they are fresh and red, good quality.
Chuan was very impressed and realised the difference between himself and Jing.
He decided not to resign but to learn from Jing.
My dear friends, a more successful person is more observant, thinksmore and understands in depth.
For the same matter, a more successful person sees several years ahead, while we see only tomorrow.
The difference between a year and a day is 365 times.
Think! how far have you seen ahead in your life?
How thoughtful in depth are you?

Business Logic

BUSINESS LOGICS

Father: I want you to marry a girl of my choice.

Son: "I will choose my own bride!"

Father: "But the girl is Bill Gates' daughter."

Son: "Well, in that case...ok"

Next Father approaches Bill Gates.

Father: "I have a husband for your daughter."

Bill Gates: "But my daughter is too young to marry!"

Father: "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."

Bill Gates: "Ah, in that case...ok"

Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.

Father: "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president. "

President: "But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!"

Father: "But this young man is Bill Gates son-in-law."

President: "Ah, in that case...ok"

This is how business is done!!

Moral: Even If you have nothing, You can get Anything.

But your attitude should be positive.

Know your employees

On walking into the factory, the MD noticed a young boy leaning against the wall, doing nothing.
He approached the young man and calmly said to him, How much do you earn?"
The young man was quite amazed that he was asked such a personal question, he replied, none the less, "I earn $ 2 000.00 a month, Sir. Why?"
Without answering, the MD took out his wallet and removed $ 6000.00 cash ,then gave it to the young man and said: "Around here I pay people for working, not for standing around looking pretty! Here is 3 months 'salary', now GET OUT and don't come back".
The young man turned around and was quickly out of sight.
Noticing a Few onlookers, the MD said in a very upset manner: "And that applies for everybody in this company".
He approached one of the onlookers and asked him, "Who's the young man that I just fired?"
To which an amazing reply came of, "He was the pizza delivery man, Sir...!!!" He surprises... and walks away!!

How To Hire the Right People To Work For You

1. How to hire the right people?

2.Gravity-How to hire the right people?

Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open window.
Then send 2 or 3 candidates in the room and close the door.
Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze the situation.
If they are counting the bricks - Put them in the accounts department.
If they are recounting them - Put them in auditing.
If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks - Put them in engineering.
If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order - Put them in planning.
If they are throwing the bricks at each other - Put them in operations.
If they are sleeping - Put them in security.
If they have broken the bricks into pieces - Put them in information technology.
If they are sitting idle - Put them in Human resources.
If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a brick has been moved - Put them in sales.
If they have already left for the day - Put them in marketing.
If they are staring out of the window - Put them on strategic planning.
And then last but not least......If they are talking to each other and not a single brick has been moved - Congratulate them and put them in top management .

The Power of Prayers

A man's daughter had asked the local religious priest to come and pray with her bedridden sick father

When the priest arrived,he found the man lying in bed with his head propped up on two pillows.
An empty chair sat beside his bed. The priest assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit.
"I guess you were expecting me, he said. 'No, who are you?" said the father.
The priest told him his name and then remarked, "I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up."
"Oh yeah, the chair," said the bedridden man. "Would you mind closing the door?"
Puzzled, the priest shut the door. "
I have never told anyone this, not even my daughter," said the man.
"But all of my life I have never known how to pray.
I used to hear the people talk about prayer, but it went right over my head."
I abandoned any attempt at prayer," the old man continued, " until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me, "My friend , prayer is just a simple matter of having a conversation with God.
Here is what I suggest. "Sit down in a chair; place an empty chair in front of you, and in faith, see God on the chair. It's not spooky because he promised, 'I will be with you always'. "Then just speak to him in the same way you're doing with me right now."
"So, I tried it and I've liked it so much that I do it a couple of hours every day.
I'm careful though. If my daughter saw me talking to an empty chair, she'd either have a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm."
The priest was deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old man to continue on the journey.
Then he prayed with him, gave him hope and told him not to forget God.
Two nights later the daughter called to tell the priest that her daddy had died that afternoon.
Did he die in peace?" he asked.
Yes, when I left the house about two o'clock , he called me over to his bedside, told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek.
When I got back from the store an hour later, I found him .
But there was something strange about his death.
Apparently, just before Daddy died, he leaned over and rested his head on the chair beside the bed.
What do you make of that?"
The priest wiped a tear from his eye and said, "I wish we could all go like that."

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.

I asked God for water,He gave me an ocean.*
I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden.*
I asked God for a friend, He gave me all of YOU...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

Three Guests

Here is beautiful story i came across about 3 Guest. It is a wonderful story that everyone can relate to.
The three main charactors are: Wealth, Success, and Love.

Trust you will enjoy reading it and start inviting the Guest at home.

The Three Guests

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"
His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"
Their daughter-in- law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter-in- law's advice," said the husband to his wife.
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!

So friends let take this lesson and spread this message of LOVE.

Where ever there is LOVE - Wealth and Success are sure to follow and vice-e-versa may not be true..!

God Created Man

God created the donkey and said to him. "You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass, you will have no intelligence and you will live 50 years. "The donkey answered: "I will be a donkey, but to live 50 years is much. Give me only 20 years" God granted his wish. >..........................................................................................>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!God created the dog and said to him: "You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend. You will eat the scraps that he gives you and you will live 30 years. You will be a dog. "The dog answered: "Sir, to live 30 years is too much, give me only 15 years. " God granted his wish. >..........................................................................................>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God created the monkey and said to him: "You will be a monkey. You will swing from branch to branch doing tricks. You will be amusing and you will live 20 years. " The monkey answered: "To live 20 years is too much, give me only 10 years." God granted his wish. >..........................................................................................>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Finally God created man ... and said to him: "You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of the earth. You will use your intelligence to become master over all the animals.. You will dominate the world and you will live 20 years." Man responded: "Sir, I will be a man but to live only 20 years is very little, give me the 30 years that the donkey refused, the 15 years that the dog did not want and the 10 years the monkey refused." God granted man's wish, And since then, man lives 20 years as a man , marries and spends 30 years like a donkey, working and carrying all the burdens on his back. Then when his children are grown, he lives 15 years like a dog taking care of the house and eating whatever is given to him, so that when he is old, he can retire and live 10 years like a monkey, going from house to house >and from one son or daughter to another doing tricks to amuse his grandchildren. That's Life.

How to be a good Salesman

A new vacuum cleaner salesman knocked on the door on the first house of thestreet.
A tall lady answered the door.
Before she could speak, the enthusiastic salesman barged into the livingroom and opened a big black plastic bag and poured all the cow droppings onto the carpet.
"Madam, if I could not clean this up with the use of this new powerfulvacuum cleaner, I will EAT all this!" exclaimed the eager salesman.
"Do you need chilli sauce or ketchup with that" asked the lady. The bewildered salesman asked, "Why, madam?" "There's no electricity in the house..." said the lady.

Managing Stress

Managing stress can be challenging for anyone with a busy lifestyle, a hectic job, a family, a health concern, or concern about a loved one.
Stress doesn’t discriminate. It can and does affect everyone.
Some people notice it in subtle ways like feeling more tired at the end of the day, or feeling tightness in your shoulder and neck muscles.
Others notice profound effects such as migraine headaches, back pain, upset stomach or ulcers, even hair loss and addictive eating patterns.
Stress is a major health concern since we have become a technological society with ever increasing financial burdens and the need for both parents to work outside the home.
The family dynamic has changed radically since the 1950’s and earlier. More ways to cope with a hectic life and to reduce stress are needed.

Here are 10 more easy ways to reduce stress [PRESSURE]:

· Eat only when you are hungry. Food is necessary fuel to sustain your body, but eating to fill a void or to comfort yourself in times of stress only adds more stress to your body.

· Eat healthy food. Junk food and high caffeine drinks add to stress and do not properly feed or nourish your body. While they may give you a small sense of instant gratification, think about how you will feel hours later. Eating a balanced, healthy diet will reduce the stress on your body, will sustain your energy for longer periods of time and help you get a good night’s sleep.

· Laugh. Rent a comedy and enjoy yourself before going to bed. It will release the tension built up in your muscles throughout the day and will prepare you for a solid night’s sleep. Laughter is also a way to reduce stress when you are with others. It can relieve tension in a group and put everyone at ease.

· Create a routine that works for you each day. Having a specific focus and a routine to follow can be very soothing and meditative for most people.

· Meditate or pray in the morning and again before bed. This can be a simple exercise of clearing your mind of all thoughts and focusing on your breath for 5 minutes. You’ll feel much calmer throughout the day and notice the effect it has on reducing your stress. You will respond to situations in a lighter, more balanced way.

· Keep a journal. Writing thoughts and events that happened during the day in a journal before you go to bed can be very freeing for your mind. Going to sleep while ruminating about the events of the day only makes you relieve them in your sleep. This is stressful on your mind as well as your body.

· Write a ‘to-do’ list each night before going to bed. This will ease your mind and you will not spend the night worrying about the next day and whether or not you will remember to do something. Keep the list small and written for the next day only. Make a separate list that includes big, long term things to do. Post it on your fridge so it has a place of importance, but it is not next to your bed. Remember to check off things as you have accomplished them.

· Clean the house. Clutter adds stress to your mind and body by accumulating stagnant energy which adds pressure to your life. Sort and organize your space so that you feel calmer in your environment. Give away all the clutter that no longer serves you. If you haven’t used and item or worn a piece of clothing for one year, it’s a good sign that it is time to release it. Cleaning your closet can be calming and can give you a sense of accomplishment. Your heart will also be lighter from having gifted those items to someone who may need them, i.e. Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.

Receive. Allow yourself to receive care and concern from others around you. Resisting their affection or help only adds more burden to your already long to-do list. Their love and attention is also very healing for your heart and mind. You deserve to receive just as you give. It is a two way street. By only giving and resisting receiving, you deplete your energies without replenishing. This adds stress to your body, mind and spirit. Receive. You deserve it!

Above all, remember that you are doing your best each day. You are only one person and you can only do so much each day. Know your limits and stick to them. Learn how to say, “No.” It may just be the best stress reducer of all!
